Incorporating imaginary creatures with nature-based subjects, Sofia Arnold paints light-hearted commentaries on human behaviors and interactions. Living in rural Wisconsin, the artist is witness to a host of complex relationships between man and nature, geography and lifestyle. From her observations, she fashions portraits of unique and fantastic worlds with parallels to our own. Arnold received a BFA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and was included in the Wisconsin Triennial exhibition of 2010.
