David Raleigh

Utah-based painter David Raleigh explores psychological states and human nature through figurative imagery infused with dry humor. His paintings often featur otherworldly characters that balance the ordinary with the magical, and the physical with the spiritual. At times, these figures function as self 􀈙portraits; at others, they become imagined personas reflecting on the broader human condition.

Raleigh earned his B.F.A. from Brigham Young University and his M.F.A. from the niversity of Wisconsin-Madison. His work has been shown in exhibitions throughout the United States.
