TD Brenner
Timothy Brenner is an artist living and working in Madison, Wisconsin. He makes paintings with acrylic paint on paper and canvas. His work is reminiscent of naive art and draws inspiration from everyday life. His favorite artists are Henri Mattise, Van gogh, and Philip Guston. Like Philip Guston, he has created his own personal vocabulary of images which he uses as reoccurring themes in different arrangements in his work.
He was born in Milwaukee and has lived his whole life in Wisconsin. He has a BFA from the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh, and an MFA from the University of Wisconsin - Madison.
