Richard Taylor unites painting and sculpture using three-dimensional metal forms as canvases for his painted finishes. Taylor uses architectural elements, geometric shapes, and vibrant use of color to bring his sculptures to life. His current body of work, Satellites, is based on connections and navigation.
Wisconsin has been home to Taylor since childhood, he earned both a BA in Art History and an MFA in Painting and Drawing from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. His monumental public sculptures have earned him recognition throughout the country.
