Michael Hedges’ expressionist paintings are as much about energy as they are about color and texture. Hyper-pigmented hues and thick, gestural brushstrokes effortlessly enliven his canvases. Hedges grew up in the Chicago area and studied at the Art Institute of Chicago before receiving his B.A. in Studio Art from Loras College in Dubuque. His work can be found in private and public collections throughout the United States.
