MOWA Celebrates Future of Wisconsin Art

Tory Folliard Gallery artists, Claire Kellesvig and Guzzo Pinc, are currently being featured in the exhibition Ten at Ten at the Museum of Wisconsin Art (MOWA).

Ten at Ten greets Wisconsin’s most exciting new artists at the beginning of their careers. The exhibition brings together an extraordinary group of artists, speakers, and a collaborative curatorial team from the vanguard of Wisconsin’s vibrant art scene.

 Claire Kellesvig

Claire Kellesvig, artist and curator, graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in painting in 2011, and an MFA in painting and drawing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2022, where she currently teaches as a lecturer.

“I am interested in the narrative that lies in the fascia between our inner and outer worlds. The stories we tell ourselves, and the associated feelings that build the bulk of our lived experience. This work seeks to open the door between our inner and outer landscapes, and broadcast the brain-radio onto ‘real life’.”

Guzzo Pinc

A native of Illinois, Guzzo Pinc received his MFA from the University of Wisconsin- Madison. His work is influenced by sources that are considered very "low" and ones that are very "high", ranging from graffiti and comic books to the canonical artists of the Western and Eastern traditions. It is this blending of such a diverse range of influences and experiences that gives his painting its unique style.
