Derrick Buisch, a long-time Madison artist and teacher has his work acquired and added to the permanent collection of the Chazen Museum associated with the University of Wisconsin Madison. PERIPHERAL PAINTING 1 measures one foot high by 37 feet long. The piece was originally made as part of a series that focused on creating art for surfaces where you normally wouldn’t see art displayed. Derrick Buisch is the Current Art Department head of the University of Wisconsin Madison and worked closely with students and the community to transport the art to the museum. see the full story here.
