Married artists Katie Musolff and Andy Fletcher are life-long Wisconsin residents. Both execute a type of rural portraiture of the world they inhabit - one on the micro and the other on the macro scale.
An astute observer of the natural world, Katie Musolff paints plants and animals that she finds near her home along the Mississippi River. Through direct observation, Musolff meticulously captures the beauty of her surroundings in watercolor and gouache.
Atmospheric skies, expansive horizons, barns, and quiet farmhouses make up Andy Fletcher’s Midwestern landscapes. His paintings evoke feelings of nostalgia and effortlessly draw you into agricultural scenes of older, more sustainable ways of living.
