Mark Mulhern
Wisconsin figurative artist Mark Mulhern casts himself as a quiet observer, depicting his subjects in moments of arrested movement and drawing attention to subtle gestures and quiet anticipation. H oft n opts for anonyrnity over identity when portraying figures, allowing body language to communicate inner presence and offering an alternative approach to portraiture.
Mulhern received his B.F.A. from the Layton School of Art in Milwaukee and his M.F.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He furthered his studies in Paris with renowned printmaker S.W. Hayter at Atelier 17. His paintings, drawings, and prints can be found in private and public collections across the country, including the Museum of Modern Art, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Milwaukee Art Museum, among others.

Kate Goodvin
Kate Goodvin is a multidisciplinary artist whose work examines the transition from girlhood to womanhood in the twenty-first century. Drawing from her own coming-of-age experiences, she explores themes of childhood innocence, adolescent turbulence, and personal growth. By combining screen printing with quilted textiles, Goodvin creates layered tapestries that feel both intimate and physically rich.
Goodvin earned her B.F.A. from the Maryland Institute College of Art and is currently pursuing her M.F.A. at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, including at the Aichi Prefectural Museum of Art in Japan and the Figge Art Museum.

Susan Stamm Evans
Based in New Mexico, Susan Stamm Evans is a sculptor who works in bronze and porcelain to capture small gestures and quiet feelings. Working primarily with the figure, she creates sculptures that contemplate subtle, everyday emotions. Each piece conveys the feeling of a singular, familiar moment made universal.
Evans holds a B.A. from the University of New Mexico and an M.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her work is represented in public collections in Wisconsin, New Mexico, Texas, and Oklahoma, as well as in private collections in Switzerland, Germany, Iceland, China, Jordan, and throughout the United States.

Michael Noland
Born in Oklahoma, Michael Noland is an artist and collector whose work is shaped by his long engagement with outsider art. Drawing on imagination and instinct, he creates bold, expressive paintings marked by exaggerated forms, repetition, and rich, saturated color. His subjects, of ten flowers, landscapes, and animals, carry a sense of raw energy and emotional immediacy.
Noland received his B.A. from Cameron University and his M.F.A. from The Ohio State University. A recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts award, he has exhibited widely in museums across the United States.

Mary Bero
Combining fiber arts, painting, and sculpture, Mary Bero is a mixed-media artist who crafts imagery reminiscent of both fears and dreams. Based in Wisconsin, she incorporates traditional and nontraditional needlework techniques, building cohesive compositions from smaller, mark-making elements.
She has been awarded two National Endowment for the Arts fellowships, and her work can be found in private and public collections, including the Smithsonian American Art Museum, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and the Milwaukee Art Museum, among others.

T.L. Solien
T.L. Solien is an artist who creates illusory scenes reflecting on the contemporary unraveling of culture through paintings, drawings, mixed-media cut-outs, and sculpture, he blends traditional abstraction and figurative elements with references drawn from his personal heritage. Using expressive color and imaginative imagery, he often constructs paradoxical narratives that draw on his Scandinavian heritage, family memories, and art and literature from the past.
Solien received his B.A. from Moorhead State University and his M.F.A. from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. A recipient of numerous honors, including a Joan Mitchell Foundation Fellowship, his work is held in public and private collections throughout the United States, among them the Whitney Museum of American Art, The Tate Modern, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Milwaukee Art Museum, and the Art Institute of Chicago.

Fatemeh Fani
Fatemeh Fani is a photographer whose work examines American culture through the perspective of an outsider shaped by her upbringing in Iran. After immigrating to the United States, she began exploring themes of dual identity, displacement, and belonging, while also addressing issues of restriction and exclusion faced by women in Iran.
Her work frequently references the mandatory hijab as both a personal and political symbol, using photography to reflect on visibility, freedom, and resilience. Fani earned a B.A. in Photography from the University of Tehran and is currently pursuing her
M.F.A. at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her work has been exhibited nationally, including at the Museum of Wisconsin Art.

Wylie Knight
Wylie Knight is an emerging artist drawn to portraiture for its immediacy and its ability to create a direct connection between artist and viewer. His work blends texture, pattern, and the human form to reframe familiar subjects and challenge conventional ideas of beauty.
Knight earned his B.F.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has exhibited his work throughout Wisconsin. He is the recipient of several honors, including the Porter Butts Creative Arcs Award.
