Caitlin Lempia-Bradford

Grounded in a spirit of play and experimentation, Caitlin Lempia Bradford’s paintings draw inspiration from patterns, games, science fiction, and mathematics. She embraces systems of structure, sequence, and repetition while introducing moments of disruption and surprises, creating compositions that balance logic with imagination.

Lempia-Bradford earned a B.F.A from the University of Iowa and an M.F.A from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her work is represented in public and private collections across the country.

For more than three decades, Jeremy Popelka has explored the expressive possibilities of glass through techniques including blowing, sandcasting, and murrini. His sculptures combine geometric precision with intensely saturated color, creating intricate patterns inspired by cellular structures, natural systems, and the hidden rhythms of the organic world.

Popleka studied with many of the leading figures in contemporary glass, including Dale Chihuly, Bertil Vallien, Erwin Eisch, Joel Philip Meyer, Marvin Lipofsky, and Clifford Rainey. He earned a B.F.A from Illinois State University and an M.F.A from the California College of Arts and Crafts,

Kalil Mitchell

Kalil Mitchell explores themes of interconnection, transformation, and impermanence through abstract painting. Hovering between revelation and concealment, her compositions investigate the relationships among color, shape, and space, creating a dynamic visual system that simultaneously establishes and dissolves structure.

Mitchell earned a B.F.A. from San Jose State University and an M.F.A from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her work has been widely exhibited across the country.

Dennis Nechvatal

Wisconsin painter Dennis Nechvatal is best known for his distinctive face portraits made from hand-cut tin or paper masks, layered with intricate painted patterns that suggest depth and complexity beneath the surface. In addition to portraiture, he creates enigmatic landscapes and still lifes that reflect a quiet sense of wonder and a deep connection to the natural world.

Nechvatal earned a B.A. from Stout State University and an M.F.A. from Indiana University. His work is held in numerous private and public collections across the United States, including the Art Institute of Chicago, the Milwaukee Art Museum, and the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art, among others.

Jason Rohlf

Jason Rohlf creates richly layered abstract paintings that investigate the interplay of color, texture, and surface, drawing inspiration from urban environments, maps, digital imagery, and the visual rhythms of everyday life. He combines collage, paint, and luminous layers of varnish to construct compositions that are both tactile and visually dynamic.

Rohlf studied at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and has participated in numerous artist residencies in New York. His work has been exhibited nationally, including in California, New York, and throughout Wisconsin.

Claire Kellesvig

Claire Kellesvig creates imaginative paintings that merge fantasy, memory, and storytelling. Through a layered process of stenciling, collage, and painting, she constructs dreamlike landscapes populated by animals and figures that serve as surrogates for the viewer. These enigmatic worlds invite contemplation and offer a psychological space for exploration and reflection.

Kellesvig earned a B.F.A from the Rhode Island School of Design and a M.F.A from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her work has been exhibited throughout Wisconsin and beyond.

Derrick Buisch

through an exploration of mark-making, distortion, and interruption, Derrick Buisch transforms ordinary subjects into a vibrant investigation of contemporary visual culture. His paintings push the expressive possibilities of color, texture, and paint application, resulting in energetic works that blur the boundaries between abstraction and representation.

Buisch received a B.F.A. from the Mayland Institute College of Art and an M.F.A. from the University of Minnesota. He is the recipient of the Joan Mitchell Foundation grant for painters and sculptors and the Emily Mead Baldwin Ward in the Creative Arts. His work is represented in numerous public and private collections throughout the united states.
